POTSDAM — St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies arrested Shane N. Shortt, age not released, of Madrid, on Thursday with second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation into a hurt newborn baby at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
